Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine Sullivan is a native of in and brought up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam Her mother, who has been a backup singer in the past at Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, her father was appointed to be Philadelphia's Historic Strawberry Mansion curator. Her family later moved into this historical building. The 2005 Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts student She is an instructor in vocal music. Sullivan began singing in the children's choir as a contralto and then she joined the adult choir a few years afterwards. Sullivan was not exposed to secular music. She recalls that she was 11 when someone was requesting her to sing for solos in church. She wasn't yet ready for. "Then McDonald's offered a competition for kids from cities. The competition gave me the opportunity to perform Accept the Grace of God on Showtime Apollo. The audience was extremely accommodating." When she was 13 years old, she sang alongside Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday celebration. Sullivan signed her first contract with Jive Records when she was fifteen. In Jive Records, she made an entire album, but it was never released. Sullivan was later dropped out of the company. There was a close relationship with Missy Elliott who wrote and recorded a number of the tracks for her debut project, like the buzz track "Backstabbers" - produced by Timbaland and written by Elliott.
